Sunday, November 23 HyeSung Hwang, piano 4:00pm
Dr. HyeSung Hwang is a piano instructor at York College and will play a recital featuring music of Robert Schumann and Modest Mussorgsky. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she has been awarded top prizes in numerous piano competitions including the Seoul Philharmonic Concerto Competition, the Young Artists Piano Competition in Seoul, the Samick Piano Competition, the Em-Youn Music Competition, and the Puigcerda International Piano Competition in Spain. Her achievements were recognized by the Maryland State Arts Council in 2011 with an Individual Artist Award.
Sunday, December 7 York College Chorale and Orchestra 3:00pm
The York College Chorale under the direction of Dr. Erin Lippard and the York College Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Matthew Inkster will present a holiday concert featuring “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi plus other seasonal repertoire.
