Handbell Polishing Party August 22!  In order to keep our bells in great shape for years to come, they are in need of polishing.  It is not a difficult task, but with over  60 bells, many hands are needed to lighten the work!  If you are willling to donate your time and elbow grease, please join us for a polishing party on Thursday, August 22 at 6:30 p.m.  all supplies, training and great conversation will be provided!  Please wear older clothes that can get dirty, as the polish can stain fabrics.  We appreciate your help in maintaining our beautiful instruments!  Please contact Leah McComas (Lmccomas.stpaulsyork@gmail.com)

Handbell choir will resume rehearsing on Thursday, September 5 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the music room.  Rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Please contact Leah McComas (Lmccomas.stpaulsyork@gmail.com) or call the church office by August 30 if you are interested in participating.

Students in 7th grade through adults are welcome to join the handbell choir.  Previous music experience is beneficial, but not necessary for success.  We typically play for services once a month and on major feast days.  We also add handbells to psalms, hymns, and other parts of the liturgy.  Please consider ringing with us this fall!   .

The Handbell choir continues to be an important ministry and represents the vibrant and energized faith community at St. Paul’s.  We currently have members ringing our full five octaves of handbells and four octaves of handchimes.  Members enjoy utilizing many different bell techniques and playing pieces which incorporate various instruments.

If you can keep a steady beat; and have any prior musical experience (even it was long ago), please consider giving bell choir a try.
