Dinner Groups
Dinner Groups Forming in early 2025 – Details are posted below!
What Is Dinner Group? A time of good food, fellowship, and some fun over a casual meal. Dinner Groups are comprised of around eight people (couples or singles) who gather at the homes of the designated host/church members and share a casual meal. Hosts can also invite other members or guests to come and join. You don’t have to host, just sign up, and bring a dish to share. Those who volunteer to host will call the guests to schedule a day and time that works for all. The hosts prepares the main course and guests provide the rest (appetizers, salad, and dessert).
The focus is on getting better acquainted with people at St. Paul’s It’s a great way to get to know one another in a whole different way, socialize with both new and old friends within the church. The groups are randomly selected and we try to have a different mix of people at each gathering.
Dinner groups will gather in the early part of the New Year. . This month a sign-up sheet will be posted on the Springettsbury lobby bulletin board, as well as circulated through the congregation on Sunday mornings. The last day to sign-up is the day of the Annual Meeting, November 17. On the sign-up it will ask if you are willing to host a group. After everyone who wants to participate has signed up the Witness Committee collates the information, forms groups, and sends out the schedule so that you will know with whom you are having dinner and at what location. Previous Dinner Groups have spawned new ideas for the congregation, strengthen friendships, and permitted folks to take a more active role in our life together at St. Paul’s. Please don’t miss this opportunity. Sign-up today so that you have something meaningful and fun to do in the New Year
They have been great fun and we hope you will join us!
