Cantabile Bell choir

All events at St. Paul’s have been cancelled through the end of March.

The Cantabile Bell Choir took the summer off and began practices again on September 17.  Rehearsal time is Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the Music Room on the Main Level.

The Cantabile Bell Choir is made up of students in grades 2-6.  Students as young as 1st grade will be taken if parents feel they can handle a 45 minute rehearsal.  No prior music experience is necessary.  We play some pieces for handbells, Orff instruments, drums and add singing voices.  The children usually perform once a month at the 10:30 a.m. service.

The children’s choir program gets their year off to an amazing start with the Cantabile Choir ringing Percussive Praise on Sunday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m.  This piece highlights the energy and joy of our young choir members.  A short clip follows:

We all look forward to their performances in 2019-2020.

A glimpse of one of their performances from last year follows:

The Combined Children’s Choirs performed on Mother’s Day and did a great job.    They performed November 18 and December 23 to ring in Christmas.  On January 27, nine of our young musicians had their first performance of the new year.  Some of these children play as many as four bells.  Amazing!!!  Click on the link below (1-IMG 3576) to hear a clip from their performance.
