Wheelchair Attendants

St. Paul’s has been sending people from its congregation for many years to Sprenkle Drive one Sunday each month to help their residents attend the worship service with Pastor Hank.  Many of the residents look forward to this service each week.  Without our help they would not be able to attend as many are unable to maneuver their wheelchairs by themselves and therefore are extremely grateful when we push them to the chapel. The joy that it brings to the residents overflows to those who help. Please consider giving a little time to assist others hear God’s Word and receive Holy Communion.

On the Second Sunday of each month after eating our lunch at St. Paul’s (Second Sunday Sandwiches) we drive over to Sprenkle Drive arriving at 2:15 p.m. where we gather at the nurses station to await those ready to attend the service at 3:00 p.m.  At approximately 3:45-4:00 p.m., we return the residents to their rooms or the dining room; it’s their choice.

This is not a difficult job and by helping out you will be making someone happy.  Please consider volunteering for this service.  It can be rewarding!  If you are interested in helping, please contact Irmgard Nicolaysen or Pastor Reep.
